Pathways to Research is a program from the University of Bonn's current Excellence Initiative to support young people and early career researchers with a refugee or migrant background. Our aim is to familiarise interested school students with university life and studies and to accompany and support university and doctoral students at the University of Bonn in the course of their studies and doctorate. With the program, we aim to highlight role models and support making new social contacts.

The program consists of three different support systems for pupils, students and doctoral students with different offers and opportunities for each group. The programs for school students are held in German. The programs for students and doctoral candidates are in both German and English. Pathways to Research is coordinated by the Vice Rectorate for Equal Opportunity and Diversity and the Equal Opportunity and Diversity Unit

Daina Hues is responsible for the project and can be contacted with any questions.
